The Chhath puja is said to have originated in the Rig Veda, and Draupadi and the Pandavas of Hastinapur used to celebrate this festival to solve difficulties related to reclaiming their lost kingdom. According to legend, Chhath puja was first conducted by Karna, who is thought to be the son of Lord Surya and Kunti. Chhath Puja Significance, Meaning
This pageant is one of the few Hindu celebrations in which there may be no idolatry involved. It is devoted completely to the worship of Shashti Mata and the Sun God Surya, alongside together along with his consorts Usha and Pratyusha, the Vedic Goddesses of Dawn and Dusk respectively. It is assumed that the genuine supply of the Surya is his wives, Usha and Pratyusha. Chhath is regarded as the most ecologically friendly celebration since it is based on the worship of natural elements and is frequently utilized to raise environmental awareness. Chhath is one of the few Hindu celebrations that surpasses the stringent limits of the post-Vedic caste system. Equality, fraternity, togetherness, and honesty were among the concepts discussed. Every devotee, regardless of caste or status, makes the same sacrifice to the Sun God and prays near the banks of rivers and ponds. Devotees only consume satvik cuisine cooked without onion or garlic, with the highest sanitation, and after taking a bath the day after Diwali and during the four days of Chhath Puja. Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Nepal have all hosted this ancient Hindu Vedic celebration in the past. Surya Bhagavan is honored with this piece (Lord Surya). During these four days, people worship the deity and pray for their families’ well-being and prosperity. Men can fast during Chhath as well, albeit women do so more frequently. We the team of TheGossipsWorld wishes each and every one of our readers a very Happy Chhath Puja.
